Avon's New Glimmershadow Liquid Eyeshadow!

I am the type of person that feels like if I am going to tell you about something, I am going to tell you how I really feel about it or what I have heard about it if I haven't personally tried it. Not only is this true for things like restaurants and stores, but for my Avon business also. There is no reason for me to sugar coat something that will make me look bad when it doesn't turn out for me like I tell you it has. So I have decided it's time to start writing about the Avon products I use as I use them. I don't try everything, but if I like what I see or hear about something, I will try it and tell you all my honest opinion here on my blog. Like it, love it, or hate it, I'm not holding back.

Please note though, as with any product out there, opinions can vary, and just because it does/doesn't work for me, doesn't mean it will/won't work for you. Avon has a 90 day satisfaction guarantee on most products. If you try it, and don't like it (and it isn't marked Final Sale), return it. (Check out Avon's return policy here).

And onto the main event....

The picture on the left is a quick throw on yesterday (March 27th, 2018) of our Smoky Quartz shade of the new GlimmerShadow Liquid EyeShadow. The picture on the right is today's quick throw on of Ultramarine.

First Time Trying

My first thoughts yesterday after opening the package what that it looks like I am going to be putting lip gloss on my eyelids. The tube opens and has the same type of applicator as our Lip Glow Lip Gloss. I put on my eyeliner first, then put on the eyeshadow. It went on pretty easy, and I turned the applicator to get into the creases of my lids and corners easier. After I took the picture above, I realized that I had covered up some of my eyeliner (opps, was in a rush and not paying attention), so figured I would try putting my eyeliner on after putting the eyeshadow on next time (I tried to cover up the eyeshadow after I got home and for whatever reason the eyeliner didn't want to cover it at all, probably user error lol).

It took me a while to rub it off last night (bad habit of rubbing my eyes when I get tired), but when I went to take it off I couldn't use water. When the directions say use eye makeup remover, it means it lol. Discloser: when I am excited about trying something, I don't always read everything about it before jumping in. I didn't read that it was waterproof until I was making my social media post this morning.

Trying Glimmershadow, Take Two!

Today's picture is of me this morning after dropping Midget off at school. Again, another rush job because I didn't think about putting it on until it was a few minutes til time to get out the door. Thanks to the shadows you can't see it quite as well, but I did end up putting the eyeshadow on before the eyeliner. I think it turned out much better this way. It was still just as easy to put on, and the shade turned out nicely with 2-3 coats.

Final Feels About Glimmershadow Liquid Eyeshadow

While not being a huge makeup person, I like it, a lot. While I have plenty of our eyeshadow quads to choose from, I will be going to my Glimmershadow collection first. I like the ease of putting it on, that you can choose how light or bright you want it by the number of layers you put on, and that you don't have to worry about eyeshadow dust under your eyes. There are several choices in colors currently (as you can see above), but I am also hoping they will come out with other colors in the future (white and a red/pinkish shade would be nice).

Overall, whether you are a long time makeup wearer, a newb (like me), or a makeup lover, I would recommend you getting yourself at least one tube to try.

Obligatory Fine Print:

While I'm not sure if this post needs it, I am going to get use to writing this part just in case. All products were purchased by me from New Avon at my discounted Representative price. All opinions are my own, and do not represent New Avon LLC., it's partners, or anyone else but me.
