My First Week "Back"

Last week flew by for me! Although I didn't get many books out, I did get to touch base with my old customers and get them brochures. I caught up with most of them and learned a lot about what is going on with them lately. While some of them are going through heartbreak and sorrow, I am glad to see that they are doing alright and making it.

I also started using products again and trying to wear makeup. While I'm not doing everything "by the book", I am seeing a difference already. I'm starting to get a little faster putting makeup on (if I can decide on colors lol), and my face is feeling softer thanks to the routine I'm trying to follow. I noticed the softness today, which has made me feel real good about it.

My hubs has decided to take the week off, so I won't be doing as much as I would like this week, but I do still plan on getting out there. There is band practice tonight, a band parents meeting, and school starts this week. I definitely plan on getting some books out and making myself more visible when in crowds. 

I have decided I want to do fundraisers and such, but am still having a hard time figuring out where to get started. I asked the question "If I gave you $500, which charity/cause would you help?" I didn't get many responses, but I did get some, which is a start. I talked with one of the ladies about her answer in the post, but haven't approached the idea of doing a fundraiser yet. I don't know why, but I just feel weird asking an individual to hold a fundraiser. I need to get over that step.

There is so much I want to do but I am having a hard time getting started on a lot of it. While I did go out some this weekend, I didn't approach anyone about Avon. I haven't figured out how to pull down the barrier keeping me from doing it. I would like to do a fundraiser for my son's band, but I've approached them about it a couple of times now, and they still have never told me yes or no. I'm assuming no, but then I have questions about whether it would be okay for me to have a fundraiser and let them benefit from it, or is that against the school boards bylaws. 

Unfortunately, today I just feel confused. I'm hoping that the whole week isn't like this, especially with everything going on. I really don't have time to be like this. Only time will tell though. 

Well, it's time to get some stuff done around the house so I can get going in a couple of hours. I don't know what moves more during marching season, my brain or my car! Have a wonderful day!
