The first good thing that happened is that Avon announced Online Fundraising! I am so happy that we have access to this now. I feel like I will be able to help organizations a lot better because there isn't any flyers, no collecting money, no work for the most part aside from registering the fundraiser, spreading the word about the link, very minimal paperwork, and handing over the check when it is done. This is super exciting and I can't wait to be able to get my first one started.
After hours of trying to find more information (because I can never have enough information on anything), I decided it was time to start stuffing some brochures and started listening to the Make It Happen: Powered by Avon podcast. I have been meaning to listen to it for a while now, but just hadn't gotten around to it, usually watching Facebook instead. I am so glad I picked the podcast today. The ladies and gentleman they have on there are so inspiring, and help you focus on your goals even more.
My next goal was to go to Lexington. I hate driving in cities, and Lexington is no exception. After having to find a different route thanks to an accident (taking up the three lanes I could have used), I finally arrived at Popcorn Paradise KY to receive the tickets I won to go to the Vintage Marketing Days at the Horse Park this weekend. I got two tickets, and the cover all three days. I am so excited to get to go and see this event. I told my husband Monday that I wanted to go, but wasn't going to worry about it because of my son's state band competition on Saturday, then got messaged on Tuesday letting me know that I had won the tickets.
While my day still isn't over, it has been a good day. I hope tomorrow ends up being good also.
